The Wishing Tree Farm

I have dreamed of owning my own farm from the time I realized I could have dreams! I grew up on a horse farm in Southern Ontario and hoped to one day have my own farm. Thankfully my husband and partner Chauncey was happy to support my dream and here we are! We are raising our daughters surrounded by farmland and animals.

How exactly did we decide on the name of our farm? I have to give the naming credit to Chauncey! There are two parts to the story. The first is we have a beautiful Magnolia tree on our farm, that we fell in love with the minute we viewed the property. It is truly spectacular to see it in full bloom in the spring. The second part is we have a favourite children's author who has penned some of our favourite books that we love to read to our daughters, Mckenna and Ellie. Nancy Tilman is the author of the book The Wishing Tree. If you haven't had the pleasure to read it, I highly recommend you do!

We took to calling our Magnolia tree our Wishing Tree. We love to lay under the tree and dream big dreams for our future. The name just fit our farm so well and that is when The Wishing Tree Farm was born.
